Community Health Program

Charitable donations are at the core of the John James Foundation. The Community Health Program provides a total of around $250,000 a year to assist smaller charities, groups and organisations, usually those that are based in Canberra or the local operations of larger organisations.

The program is application based and a community wellbeing/healthcare focus is required. The Foundation’s preference is to support grassroots organisations that require relatively short-term funding and can show they are likely to become self-sustaining over time. Applications are usually considered in the first half of the calendar year, although they may be considered at other times.

Information about how to apply for Community Health Program funding in 2017 is now available here.
